The soundtrack featured reworkings of Daft Punk songs by artists such as M83, Avicii, Boys Noize, Moby, and Paul Oakenfold, and reached #1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart. One year after the release of Tron: Legacy, A remix album came out under the name TRON: Legacy reconfigured. The soundtrack debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart, making it the band’s first top 10 album in the US. The French duo recorded the soundtrack with an 85-piece orchestra at AIR Studios in London, and featured the likes of Max Steiner, Bernard Herrmann, John Carpenter, Vangelis, Maurice Jarre and Carlos in its production. When Tron: Legacy Premiered in 2010, Daft Punk stepped in to replace Carlos, producing his first and only film score. The original soundtrack comes on standard black vinyl, and also includes Journey’s cult classic contributions, “The Theme of the 1990s” and “The Only Solution”. In keeping with the film’s science-fiction theme, Carlos – who previously composed the score A Clockwork Orange And Shining – Collaborated with Annemarie Franklin in mixing analog Moog synthesizers, a GDS digital synthesizer, and non-electronic pieces performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The release marks the first vinyl pressing of Wendy Carlos’ original. Contains the soundtrack of 1982 tron and 2010 Tron: Legacyas well as the 2011 remix album, TRON: Legacy Reconfigured, The trio arrived on heavyweight vinyl on May 27 through UMC/Walt Disney Records. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the original tron Movie, Disney has announced new vinyl pressings for all of the soundtrack albums in the franchise.
